Some schools & teachers simply teach "their program" or only work through a book. This may have its high points, but since it's your lesson, you should have a say in what we study. (Note: your instructor may sing during your guitar lesson as you play songs, but you do not have to sing unless you want to!)
With guitar and bass, you have the option to work through a book and read music, but we also offer lessons for people who just want to learn to play without reading music or using a book. There are many songs (and many pro musicians) that do not read music but are very skilled. Fortunately, we offer both paths!
Your guitar, bass, piano, or vocal lesson will meet each week at a time that works for you. Beginner through advanced study is available.
If you want voice and piano lessons together we can arrange that, too. Get in touch if you have any questions or want to set up your first lesson. Remember, we don't require lengthy contracts or long-term commitments, so give us a try!
You can choose the kind of music lesson you want. Switch instruments at any time. Not sure where to begin? Let our teachers lead the way, we'll start with the fundamentals which apply to learning all kinds of guitar whether its electric, classical, fingerstyle/finger-picking, flamenco or acoustic. We cover all levels too, beginner to advanced. You'll be able to choose from pop, rock, acoustic strumming, electric strumming and licks, blues, country, classical, southern rock, metal, improvising, worship styles, and more - and don't worry, we won't overwhelm you with more than you can handle nor material you aren't interested in. That's the beauty of one-on-one lessons, we can focus on what you want to learn - not just a structured course with no room for customization. And we offer piano and vocal instruction. As you get better you'll find very quickly which style of instrument you prefer and we can always tailor the lesson to your choice of music and instrument including your favorite songs. Check out our FAQ page above for more details or contact us through the above link with any specific questions.
A good instructor will keep this fun as well as informative. If the material isn't fun you won't want to practice. Our instructors have the musical knowledge and academic background as well as lots of hours of real performance time for live audiences. We screen our teachers for skill and safety. So you get the best of everything in a fun, safe environment.
